Sales Event: Three days in our large classroom

We need to reduce our stock of certified pre-owned and demo machines. All these machines are previously loved and traded-in for a newer machine. They have been serviced and are ready to take home to start sewing or maybe as someone's gift.

We also have Bernina and Juki closeout machines, new and floor models. Our demo machines come directly from Bernina and have been serviced and packed by their technical department.

They will all be one display and ready to test drive. Come try one. Best possible prices will be listed and we will take any reasonable offer.

Door prizes. Refreshments provided.

Our South Central Wisconsin shop hop celebrates the heart of quilting and women’s heart health! This year we are honoring Lynn Alme, former owner of Patches and Petals Quilt Shop in Belleville who passed away this spring following heart surgery. Each participating shop will feature one of Lynn’s original quilt designs.  We are also making a red and white quilt using Lynn’s favorite quilt pattern. This quilt will be donated to the American Heart Association and will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to the organization. In addition to honoring Lynn, you can enjoy visiting the many unique shops participating in the Hop. Enter a drawing for a chance to win a gift basket at each shop. There will be prizes for visiting up to ten shops and the opportunity to bid on silent auction items benefitting the American Heart Association. Pick up your passport at any participating store and join in the fun.

Event: Trunk Show

Join us for an early birthday celebration for Laura Ingalls Wilder (b. 1868), author of the Little House on the Prairie featuring a presentation and trunk show of what quilts were like during Laura’s lifetime. Quilting was a big part of her life as quilting and other forms of sewing are mentioned over 70 times in her books. From her first sewing lessons on Nine Patch quilts, to the quilts of the 30s–40s when she wrote her Little House books, this presentation is a treasure trove of history and quilts.

Event: Workshop

Master techniques to construct, finish, and embellish during this two-day educational hands-on course. It is open to everyone, seasoned pros or if you’ve never touched a sewing machine. Leave with a reference guide technique book as you expand and build a solid sewing foundation.  Lunch is included both days along with drawings, door prizes and fun.

Learn how to successfully sew a variety of seaming, hemming, and embellishment techniques to give your projects a professional finish. Discover ways to make sewing easier by using proper feet, stitches, and features of BERNINA machines for precise sewing. Students will be inspired and encouraged to sew as they learn how to successfully work with new techniques made easy with the right tips and tools.

You will build a solid sewing foundation that will help them through a lifetime of sewing. At the end of the Academy, participants will have made a Technique Book to use as a reference guide every time you walk into your sewing studio to sew your next project.

Lunch for both days is included.
